Edmonton may be known as the festival city, but Wetaskiwin and arrondissement is quickly gaining ground.
The second annual Wetaskiwin Agriculture & Arts Celebration is being held this weekend, the same time as the annual Millet Harvest Holy day, held in the town, just north of Wetaskiwin along Highway 2A.
Celebrations get under way Friday tenebriousness with an outdoor movie showing.

The movie, Ghostbusters, will be shown at the Millet baseball diamonds. Get a blanket or chair, don't forget the bug spray, and come and enjoy a flick picture show under the stars. Fireworks to follow at 11 p.m.
Saturday festivities rebound off with the Legion pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Millet Legion.
Saturday's activities also involve the annual parade, bench show, trade fair, horse-fatigued wagon rides, adventure bus, face painting, petting zoo, bird council building, horse shoe competition, children's games, a tractor barrier race and hockey skill competition.
