I recently replaced my cat's uncovered litter box with a closed-covered litter box (Booda) and for the first month he continuously used it to poop and pee. Within the last two weeks he refuses to poop inside the litter box and has been pooping on the couch and bath mats. The litter box is always clean and he still goes inside the litter box to pee. I know he's not mad at me because I give him love and attention ALL day. What's up wit this cat?!!!??!!
Try taking the cover off for a couple of day's and see if he starts using the box again. Cats are picky and he may feel he doesn't have enough room in there to do his thing, cats tend to put there front paws up on the side of there boxes to go and he just may not like the position he has to get into to go.
