Rant & Rave: neighbors help; parker needs help
Fulminate To all my neighbors for their tremendous support when my home was set on fire by an arsonist, peculiarly the ones who saw the blaze, instantly called 911 and began their own tone down-hose work. Thanks to the firefighters who responded in potency, contained the fire and cleared out the worst of the debris and to the neighbor who tracked me down in Canada, blissfully unenlightened of the "fireworks" at my humble home. All inside is destroyed, but I take reassure in seeing our neighborhood building a stronger, more caring community.
Rave To the young woman having trouble trying to mutatis mutandis park, causing a traffic jam of seven cars in both directions, then cursing at all of us. May I insinuate therapy and some driving lessons?

Blogging Dante: Bye-bye Christmas Tree!
Dante is having fun polishing up his competitive obedience routines, goofing around with agility sequences, learning to be a stellar Therapy Dog, romping with his play-buddies at the local trails and soliciting cuddles and kisses from unsuspecting humans. He lives for the next exotic raw food item that Mom gleefully introduces to mealtimes. Yum. Atia is a 10 months old black and tan Doberman Pinscher puppy -- a sweet, sweet girl and all-round sassy diva! She merrily pounces on her much, much bigger older brother Dante in cheeky play and wants everything and anything he wants. When not showing off her newest puppy antics to big brother Dante, Atia tries her best to convince the kitty coalition that she's one of them too!
The Husband FINALLY attended sulkily to the task of taking down the Christmas Tree tonight. The poor, stinky, balding tree. I have no doubt that he would be happy to leave it as it is, tinsel-laden and weighed down with a gazillion ornaments and all, until March of April so that he doesn't get the "post-Christmas Blues" (as he calls it) bad; but since tree collection day by the city is tomorrow and i told him that he'll have to drag the tree somewhere else to be disposed of BY HIMSELF IN HIS LITTLE CAR if he misses collection day, he's grudgingly taking it all down now.
