Responding to Japan's tenderness of pets, several architects have established a new, niche trend within their dynamism: pet-friendly home design.
With the world's lowest origin rate -- an estimated 7.3 births for every 1,000 people -- Japan is to the quick to many young couples who choose pets in lieu of children. Additionally, many older couples in Japan idolize dogs and cats.
"For people who have pets, they're like people," said Akira Koyama, the owner and spokesman director of Tokyo-based Key Operation Inc. , an architecture unshaken.
And there is a market for pet-focused design, said Koyama, who designed a place dubbed "House Taishido," or "Cat Forebears."
Located in a densely populated urban ward west of Tokyo, the three-story, 30-square-meter accessible features stepping-stone-like shelves that earmark the home's feline resident to navigate vertically into and out of the paramount living room via small openings.
The small openings in the be ruined lead to other rooms on the first floor.
I was thinking of getting a cat tunnel. I'm going to buy it on seapets.co.uk as I'm ordering some bozita and some of their treats that I know Bailey will like. So I was looking at this cat tunnel Jolly Moggy Kitten Collection Tunnel She loves her string on the doors, her little zebra and her dangelies attached to the scratcher and activity center so I thought she might like the ball in the middle with catnip in (her fave treat). Awww i really want to get her the laser I think she'll love it! We already have mice, she loves them and bats them around with her paw. She likes pom pom balls too. I have to spend Ł50 on pets at home to get free p&p so I may as well spoil her. I just ordered her food and treats from seapets. She's obessesed with those cat nip drops and really likes them. I think I heard from somewhere if you have an indoor cat it's good to give them things like cat nip as they are meant to have some sort of green in their diet?
