Is there an electronic gadget to keep my cat off the counters?
Sort of like a vertical electric fence?... Squirt guns, tinfoil, etc. don't work. Seems like I've tried everything. The cat doesn't notice or care... unless I'm in the room shouting at him, in which case he hides. But he'll do it again as soon as I leave.
I have a remote control shock collar for small pets, but it has an automatic shut-off after 30 minutes, and you never know when he's going to be bad. I haven't even gotten to use it because it's always shut off when he's naughty!!!
Also, half of the time I'm asleep when he goes around knocking stuff down from high places. So an automatic electronic system would be awesome.
Suggestions?
Look, people, I tested the shock collar out on the highest setting on myself first, and it doesn't even hurt. It's not some sort of electrocution device like you think. Know what you're talking about before you judge.
Also, be aware that my cat is some sort of mutant. Though he has domesticated markings, he's approximately the size of a bobcat. NOTHING scares him.
Thank you.
