My cat is missing one upper and one lower of her front teeth, she is 13 %26amp; having trouble eating and lost weight. I feed her canned food when I am home, but I travel alot and need to find something I can put out for her when I am gone that she can eat as well as the other 2 cats so they don't eat everything and leave her hungry. The only thing I could think of was tender vittles but they no longer make that. Does anyone know of a soft moist dry food for cats that I could leave out for 2 days while I'm gone so she can eat? I'm desperate, I don't want to have to kennel her everytime I leave, I'm afraid she would just die from heart break. Thanks

Also soften hard food with CATMILK!! (not regular milk..they sell catmilk at petstores, and even HEB )
Reply:You might try soaking her dry food in a little water, or maybe you could get creative and use beef or chicken broth instead (tuna water, maybe?) That will soften the food a lot once it absorbs. It won't look pretty and I don't know how the taste would be for the cat, but it would be a manageable consistency.
Reply:Well maybe if you travel so much you should either have someone watch your cats or maybe you should find them a new home. If she is 13 and not eating as much and losing weight she also needs to go to the vet she could be VERY sick! There are many diseases that cats can get that cause loss of appetite and weight loss. It is a BAD idea to put her in a kennel for days while you are gone!!! My suggestion would be to take her to the vet right away and maybe find them a new owner or have someone take care of them. The other cats may also have to go to the vet because some of the diseases are contagious to other cats.
