My dog is a total rope dog....I always thought all dogs liked balls but he can't be bothered with them at all...He's a rhodesian ridgeback X...So...Do you have a rope dog?...or a ball dog?
My dog loves ropes. Balls are OK, but only if they are very bouncy. She much prefers chewing. She will also "fetch" the rope if we throw it.

Please note that you should always govern your dog when he is playing with any homemade toys. Never include pieces that could burke or strangle your dog. If your dog starts to destroy the toy or eat portions of it, take the toy away and rectify a newer, sturdier version. Get creative but always keep your dog's safety in out for!
