How long could a Betta survive in a large of medium size bowl?

Depends on the care given. They can live any where from a day to 5 years. With the proper diet, cleaning and attention a long live is pretty likely. I suggest feeding your Betta "Hikari Betta Bio-Gold" 2-3 pellets once, every 3-4 days. Don't worry, you are not starving him. They have tiny tiny bellies, to feed them any more is over feeding and is very unhealthy. It will cost him his long life span in the long run. When feeding i suggest making him work for his food. feed him a pellet at a time on the tip of your finger a half an inch above the water, he should jump for it =D. If he can't reach lower your finger. Its good exercise and reduces his boredom. And its a good idea to mix up his diet a bit so he dosent eat the same thing all the time. Keep Bio Gold, but also once a week or so treat him to frozen (not freeze dried) blood worms, Brine shrimp and sometimes very small baby guppies( once in a great while)
Change 50% -75% of his water weekly
give him soft plants like java moss, java fern
change things around in his bowl and outside his bowl
put him in the busiest room, he loves to watch live.
Oh and also to exercise him, have him flare to his reflection maybe 3-5mins every other day or so. Don't flare him to long though, you will cause him stress.
look in to getting him a heater, Petco has a very small heater called "hydor Mini Heater" perfect for the bowl you have( just watch the temp dosent past 80
Also Aquarium salt is very beneficial to a bettas health. and since he is in a bowl, the salt should last you forever. you will probably only need 5 or so pieces.
with proper care, your Betta should live long and well =]

Pasta/Noodle Soup Bowl « Kharas-Mithaas

Have you ever had one of those noodle soup preparations in Thai restaurants? I just love them. For one, they are served in huge portions. The noodle-soup reminds me of what my cousins say while feeding their kids. They wish they had a way to put all the important stuff in one bowl and make the kid eat it in one shot Noodle-soup basically is the same idea. Put the veggies, meat, noodles, and spices in one big soup broth pot and voila! you are done. You get everything in one shot. The soupy texture may make you feel that its not much, its just soup, but seriously, they are filling, because of all the veggies and other stuff that goes into it.

Tonight I decided to make a very simple and quick noodle-soup bowl. I haven’t added any chicken, instead I loaded the soup with lots of broccoli and peas. If you have the ingredients on hand, it is very fast to make with minimal chopping.
