Dog boots?

They make boots and shoes for dogs to protect their feet from whatever. I'm curious, has anyone actually successfully gotten their dog to wear them? Much less walk in them?

I have used them on my hairless crested.. he wore them more when he was younger.. at first he hops around, but he eventually got used to them and would trot around on the sidewalk.

He's not quite so fussy about walking in the snow now, but I still use them when the temps are extreme.. and I take them with us in the car in the winter, so in case we break down or something, I have something extra to help keep him warm.

NWR - so angry.. my dog chewed FH new boots!!! AHH ...

I just had to vent!!! I came home tonight to my lovely 18 month old Golden destroying FH's new boots that I just bought him for Christmas.. I am so angry at her.. She is hiding from me.. But its my own fault, I should have locked her up, but I forgot.. I literally ran to walmart for an hour and came home and this is what she did!
I spent $100 on those boots, and that was on sale at the time.. so now he has no boots and I have to go spend even more to buy new ones.. I am soo pissed!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
I just had to vent! FH is at work.. just wait till he sees his boots!! Awwww, she was upset because you left her. Dogs intend to get very sad when we leave them. LOL  Yes, you should of placed her elsewhere. I do not have any shoes, clothes, papers laying around, because I don't want that to happen. I hear that dogs have shoe fetishes as well. Sorry for your loss...I'd probrably would introduce her to the boots with her behind while holding the boots!!! Do it once and she'll think twice next time. Now you don't have to go to the extreme of abusing her, but you can teach her, "THAT IS A NO-NO! NO-NO!!" They are really smart and they do know better.
