Members of the Bedford Dog Greens Committee last week informed Bedford officials that they have no interest in leasing real property for the new park.
Manager Russ Marcoux, Town Body Chairman Bill Dermody and Vice-Chairman Chris Bandazian said they met with representatives from the council on Friday, Sept. 23.
With the new knowledge in hand, Marcoux, at last tenebrosity's Town Council meeting, said the town and body are working together to find alternative ideas. He added that Bedford Diversion Director Jane O'Brien has been asked to contact within reach communities with dog parks to determine possible options.
Borough saves on road repairs.
During his Town Manager's dispatch, Marcoux noted the repairs on the Nashua Road culvert that was damaged during Tropical Wind-storm Irene cost less than expected.
"We got this project done in a very short duration of time," said Marcoux. "If anyone has driven by there, it's a huge modification now from where it was before, and though I don't have the final numbers yet, it looks like the final sell for is going to be much less than what I originaly thought."
