• If you would like to donate small bags of pet food for those in want, the pantry will help distribute them to clients. A dog or cat may be the only companion a child may have. Think how important your pets are to you when you consider your donation.
The pantry served 115 families in September, along with registering 14 new families.
In mid-November, the pantry will originate its annual community toy drive for children ranging in age from about 2 to 12.

• The Bedias Museum and Library Saturday, Oct. 1, will observe the second birthday of the official opening of the Bedias Library. Art lessons, from 10 a.m. to noon, will classify creating pop-up greeting cards. Join us at 12:15 p.m. for block, and birthday songs as we celebrate how far we have come in 2 years.
Geste Time, at 1 p.m., will feature the song "Shake My Sillies Out," and the stories "Eeyore has a Birthday," "Mr. Putter and Tabby Skip town a Wish" and "Truman's Aunt Farm."
