BRENTWOOD, Collective KINGDOM – May 4, 2011: Ford dealers will before long start selling the new estate version of the all-new Ford Convergence, with full production now underway.
The new German-built model is being shipped to dealers for rummage sale from late May. Customers will then have a choice of two dynamic and attractive bodystyles – five-door and housing – to suit their lifestyles.
“Customer and media soir for the all-new five-door Focus has been exceptional, and we expect an equally earnest welcome for the estate model,” said Roelant de Waard, flaw president, Marketing Sales and Service, Ford of Europe.
“Ford dealers across Europe are seeing heavy demand as they launch the new Focus range, with well over 20,000 buyer orders by early April – and this figure is rising licentious.
“New Ford Focus brings class-leading levels of technology, evil intent and driving quality to the medium car market, and the estate will give these same qualities to an even broader group of customers,” he added.
When you’re hitting the road, whether for a vacation or just a simple sporting outing, it’s easy to quickly run out of storage space inside your vehicle. This can happen even with today’s minivans and SUVs. With the active lifestyles that so many of us lead today it seems there is always a desire to bring along more gear. And with all the variations in gear and athletic equipment, it’s easy to quickly take up the space available inside your car. For all these reasons and more, a rooftop cargo carrier makes a lot of sense.
When you’re looking at expanding your cargo capacity, rooftop cargo carriers can be a blessing. Typically you have two main choices in styles; either a hard shell construction cargo carrier or a soft shell car top carrier. As with so many things, when you have choices like this it’s never easy. There are always pros and cons to each choice you make. Is take a look at some of these now.
When considering a softshell cargo carrier, one of the immediate benefits you’ll notice is the price. While some of the higher end versions can easily get to the $200 a, you can also find some that are below $50, and even under $40 at times. Of course you get what you pay for so if you are planning on a lot of use for very long travels in exceptionally inclement weather, we might suggest you not go for the absolute least expensive option.
Another benefit of this style of rooftop cargo carrier is that it is not permanently affixed to the roof of your vehicle. If you have a basic rack system already installed that includes crossbars or side rails, it’s easy to quickly add or remove one of these luggage carriers. The downside to this is that there is not as much security...
