North Chicago gets new outdoor siren warning system
NORTH CHICAGO, IL (September 12, 2011) – The residents of North Chicago will get a new say-of-the-art outdoor emergency warning system thanks to a $250,000 subsidy awarded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opening. The city will strategically place six new sirens throughout North Chicago in harmony to reach every resident, business and school within city boundaries. Each horn will have the ability to emit various tones designated for peculiar alerts. City officials can also send custom give utterance messages for citywide notifications or target a specific site where the information is vital.
“Without the efforts of the late State Representative Eddie Washington and in circulation Representative Rita Mayfield, North Chicago could not provide to receive these upgraded sirens,” said Mayor Leon Rockingham, Jr. “The shelter of North Chicago residents is of utmost importance. This word is one of my proudest moments as Mayor.”
“Life safety is a uncertain issue. Despite meager state funding, I was dogged to find funding not just for a new safety system but a state-of-the-art safety system. First, Frontline does not work as well as AdvanTix. Second, the product is known to be toxic (read the new scientific studies). Third, for some reason Merial thinks that Cesar Millan is a good advocate for Merial. What is common to all three of these issues – bad news for your pet. Besides that, the stuff is smelly stinky! If you care enough for your pet to purchase expensive products – look elsewhere!
Don’t be fooled by these bogus reviews. This stuff does not kill fleas. I have tried it twice on my cats and they got no relief either time. None. Advantage is expensive but within an hour I have seen dead fleas on my computer table when one of my cats sits there with me while I’m online. And they’re obviously more comfortable in the days after the treatment. I don’t know if Frontline works on ticks and I have not tried any other products to kill fleas.
Soon after applying the frontline medication my cat freaked out and went outside and has yet to come back indoors. He has been an indoor cat for over 8 years (he’s 11 now) He seems fine but the fact that he refuses to come indoors concerns me. I also found a tick!!!!! I called Merial and they informed me to NOT purchase medication on line even from “safe” brokers ie. Amazon.com My advice is to purchase frontline or any other similar product from your local vet. I feel almost blessed thinking what could have happened to my beloved Pekoe.
