How do i change a paper trained dog to go on pads?
we adopted this dog and it was trained to go on paper. This dog does go to the toilet outside but we are afraid about having to go when it is at home. So we want to change it to pads. this dog HATES the top part of the pad. the netish - bit. so when we take it off he goes on the paper. but we dont want him too!! how to change. please help.
i know i should bring him out more often which i do like 4 times aday. but he still goes at home
already have the pad.
You could try a gradual approach. Lay paper over the pads, and gradually over a period of time move the paper over so more pad is showing and the dog gets used to it. In time completely take off the paper after this approach and see how he handles it.
