All I want is a 20 gallon fish tank! I can't find anyone that has one. The ones I find online, are like WAY more than what I want to spend. How much are 20 gallon tanks? I don't want to pay over $30 for one, I've already checked the pet stores and they don't have one, walmart doesn't either!
Hi Heather, In addition to Craigslist I would suggest trying your local Freecycle Group-link below. In addition to looking on the two aforementioned groups you can also post a 'wanted' ad to further increase your chances & remember the Freecycle tank will be free!!
Several of my friends have found large 40, 50 60 gallon etc tanks on Freecycle-just remember to test fill it for a couple of days outside just to check it's integrity.

Went to Captain Nemo’s again, and what do you remember, they had some pretty cool new fish just shipped in and ready to stock. It was all about the Fancy Plecos, cool Gourami’s and some resplendent Piranhas.
In the Pleco department, they had about six Gold Nugget Plecos, at around 3 ½ inches big. Some of the colors on them were magnificent. A gold Nugget can do good in a community tank, but it has to be big, 75 gallons nominal. This is because they can grow to 14 inches. There were also around ten Peasant Plecos, which are a little different than your average common Pleco, it only grows to 3.9 inches, and can be housed in aquariums 15-20 gallons. Also on the pleco menu were 3 inch Bristlenose Plecos, which only greater to 5 inches, and are tops when it comes to eating and cleaning algae off of your tank. (I in the flesh have an Albino Bristlenose in my 20 gallon long tank and love her, one of my favorite fish). The Bristlenose and Gold Nugget both use eating zucchini. However, I read somewhere in the past that if you want to breed a particular pair of livebearers that you need the desired pair to be together the first 24 hrs after the female delivers a brood. Apparently, the females can be receptive at this time to prioritizing the sperm of a new beau. So, if they are together now, you'll be taking advantage of this automatically. As far as the amount of hifins. Well, this depends on how fancy your male is. Some of the really extreme hifin males are incapable of mating. My lyretail sword males have this issue. In which case, you need hifin females and regular males. This will likely result in about a 50/50 hifin/regular fry. However, if you got your male from a petstore and not a hifin specialty breeder, its likely his gonopodium is functional. I just bought one that I am pretty sure is capable of breeding. He is nowhere as fancy finned as I have seen from some breeders that specify that they sell you normal finned males for breeding purposes.
