Qatar Petroleum and Exterior have agreed to develop a world-scale petrochemicals complex in Ras Laffan Industrial See, Qatar. This is to include a world-scale steam cracker, with feedstock coming from logical gas projects in Qatar; a mono-ethylene glycol establish of up to 1,500ktpa using Shell’s proprietary OMEGA technology; 300ktpa of linear alpha olefins using Projectile’s proprietary SHOP process; and another olefin derivative. Qatar Petroleum will have an 80% fair play interest in the project and Shell 20%.
