I am about to install a water pump in my aquarium.?
I want to use a water conditioner, so i bought aqua safe water conditioner. I know how much to use, can i pour the amount of drops i need while the fish or frogs are in there? or should i take them out and mix the water really good and wait for it to settle or something?
It's always best to mix any chemicals in water before you add them to the tank (in case you accidentally add too much), but the water is safe to use almost immediately, so you don't need to wait for it to settle or anything like that.
I'm assuming that your water only contains chlorine, which is why you're using Aqua Safe. If your water company uses chloramine to treat your water, this product doesn't remove the ammonia produced when the chloramine bond is broken, and the ammonia can affect your fish and frog. If you're not sure what the water company uses, you may want to hold off till next week to do a water change (after a call to your water company): http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/chlor.h tm
