How do I replace the salt in my 5 gallon aquarium when i make a 25% water change every 2-4 weeks?
I use Oceanic Natural Sea Salt Mix in my saltwater aquarium which is sold in pre-measured 5 gallon packs. How do I maintain salinity in my water if I have to change it every couple of weeks?
Your best option would be to get a hydrometer so you can measure the salinity, then mix what you need in a 5 gallon bucket.
You could also mix the entire package and keep a lid on the bucket so water can't evaporate, then just take as much as you need when you do a water change. Put the lid back on till you do your next change, and only mix the water again when you run out.
