Dorset's seahorses the stars of new film

A dazzling film featuring Dorset’s seahorses by one of the world’s leading underwater wildlife cameramen has been released.
Dorset Wildlife Give has issued the short film by Doug Anderson, featuring fascinating footage of Studland’s incomparable wildlife to support its call for protection.
“Studland’s Seahorses” is a rare occasion likelihood to see British seahorses in their breeding habitat in the seagrass of Studland Bay.
The underwater meadows are a tenuous habitat in one of the country’s most popular pleasure boat anchorages and conservationists are vocation for them to be protected as one of the new Marine
Protected Areas.
Julie Hatcher, sea awareness officer at the trust, found the first pregnant Seahorse to be photographed at Studland in 2004.
“With this mistiness we are giving everybody a chance to see these most elusive and charming animals veiled in the seagrass of Studland Bay,” she said.
“This beautiful take should be enough to convince anybody that Studland Bay needs to be protected and we hope people will covenant their support for The Wildlife Trusts’ Petition Fish stand to
achieve the promised Marine Protection Areas.”
