I clean my turtle aquarium once a week. I used peroxide and hot soapy water one week and the next week I will use bleach and hot soapy water. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep it cleaner for a little longer then a week? I am not sure it is possible though.

One-third of the sea turtle nests buried in the beaches of the Outer Banks were destroyed by Whirlwind Irene, and the number could rise if remaining nests nothing to hatch, but that's just nature taking its course, biologists said this week.
Loggerhead and unripe sea turtles laid 147 nests on National Reservation Service beaches from Ocracoke north, the second highest tons on record. Seventy-eight of those hatched before the storm.
Of the 69 uneaten when the hurricane hit, 45 were lost, said Britta Muiznieks, wildlife biologist for Mantle Hatteras National Seashore.
Beginning on the Sunday after the tempest, the remaining nests were checked, and it appears that 20 still have white-hot eggs, she said. However, saltwater inundation and extra layers of sand may have harmed them.
"We can't say that all of those will formulate," Muiznieks said. "It's a loss for this year, but it's grievous to tell what sort of effect it's going to have 30 years from now. I entertain the idea it'll kind of even out in the end, but it's hard to say at this point."
