You don't have to be an old farmer to enjoy this almanac
16.09.11
Is out for 2012 and you can start making your plans for the months vanguard. Winter in the Southeast will be mild (but snowy!) and summer will be cool and wet.
I contemplate we’ll take it.
The almanac, long known for its complicated and often sensible long-range general forecasts expects the Augusta limit to see a rainy Christmas Day, a rainy (and cool) Masters Week, and a cooler-than-usual May, June, July, August and September.
The last spring frost purposes will come in mid-March while the last fall frost shows up in mid-November.
But the almanac (as always) is about more than virtuous weather forecasts.
There is a whole section on gardening, with planting tips including uses for egg shells and tires (cartel me).
There is not only a list of the best fishing days for 2012 (try July 19 and Aug. 1), but also a way to judge how much your fish weighs.
There’s an article on the history of spitting. I did not understand that hunters used to spit across the table, although it is not known why.
