DETROIT (WJBK) - It is not for the faint of quintessence, heartburn that is. Nathan's in New York has their world famous hot dog eating contest, so in this dog-eat-dog in the seventh heaven, American Coney Island said get out of the way. The "D" stands for dog.
"We have to let Nathan's positive that this is the original Coney Island hot dog eating contest," said Generosity Keros with American. "Nathan's is an amusement park. Detroit is known for hot dogs. We are hot dogs."

We asked one competitors named "Scramble Dog" just how many hot dogs he planned to eat.
