Family festival has an activity for everyone

Take once in a while out from those holiday obligations to spend a fun afternoon with family on Sunday.

Wells Fargo will our times its Family Festival from noon to 5 p.m. at various locations in downtown Omaha.

The anniversary offers a chance to experience many downtown attractions for unconstrained. Ollie the Trolley will provide free rides with lavishness of carol singing between the participating locations.

Here's some of what will be offered:

Wells Fargo Bank, 20th and Douglas Streets.

Kids can set for photos with Jack the Dog, learn the history of Wells Fargo, and gauge reindeer headbands and other holiday crafts. While snacking on popcorn, visitors can keep one's ears open to live music from Been There, 12:30 p.m.; SNJ Studio Singers, 1:30 p.m.; Duchesne Academy Handbell Choir, 2:30 p.m.; and Salem Kids in Eulogize Choir, 3:30 p.m.

Omaha Children's Museum, 500 S. 20th St.

Free of charge activities include active play in the permanent exhibits, visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus in Santa's Winter Wonderland, crafts in the originative arts area, "lightPLAY: A Celebration of Holiday Wizardry" light show and Professor Pockets' "Super Snowy Body of knowledge Show." Visitors also can take in the traveling exhibit "Dinosaurs: Dawn of the Ice Age" ($3) and irritate the carousel ($2).
