What kind of heating/lighting does my albino snow corn snake need?
Mar 29, 2009 by Sierah D | Posted in Reptiles
They are nocturnal so they don't need a lot of lighting is that right? What about black lights? Do they need anything special since he's albino? I need a source to heat the tank because he's cold. I have a heating pad but it's not enough and I heard that heating rocks are dangerous.
Corn snake don't require special lighting. (Not matter what morph) As far as temp you should have a under tank heater on one half of the tank and the water dish on the other. It helps to put the hide over the heated side. Do not use a heat Rock! They are very bad for snakes. You can put a heat lamp on the tank a few hours a day if the temp in your home is cooler. Just make sure the snake can get to a cooler spot to regulate his/her temp.
