I'm getting an Iguana and need some general care tips. What kind of supplies do I need? How much are they?
And what sizes should I look for? I pretty much understand their diet and vitamin needs and mine is coming with his 5' x 5' cage. I've always had a lot of pets but this will be my first reptile so I'm a little nervous. And not to worry about his temperment as he's older and very socialized. But how do they react around other animals? Can they get out of their cages? What are their life spans? Thanks so much for your help!!!
heres some stuff i found,& use, hope it helps you out. some of the other answerers are right, iguanas are not the ideal "first time pet", they do require alot of care, time, maintenance, etc, if you are prepared to do alot of reading up on them & ready to take on the challenge of taking good care of one, then good luck to you, & welcome to the world of iguanas.

if you haven't already got an iguana, here's a good adoption site from a reptile humane society you could look into.
