Lizard Aquariums - Reptile Supplies

I need to know how to keep my cat off my aquarium where my lizard is kept. The top is wire mesh.?

The cat likes to sit on top and cannot reach the baby bearded dragon lizard. I do not want the fur to contaminate the habitat. I need to know how to keep the cat off the aquarium all together. He uses an entertainment center to get on it, but I cannot move it because I do not have the room. Please help!

Knock that cat in the head with a baseball bat next time it gets up there and I bet it wont do it again.

A Simple Family: Lizard tanks

We're not having the best of luck finding a lizard tank for him. The place we want to get it from is having big delays on getting a shipment in and knowing exactly what's on each truck. And they also can't take my # and call me back when they get it because they get dozens of requests a day for call-backs. Ugh. They have a 48x24x24 but it's too tall and will be a pain. We'll wait another week to see if they end up having it, but with their past history, who knows. I further feel discriminated against in my search for reptile tanks. I checked the yellow pages and there's virtually nothing for reptiles except the place I'm waiting on! Cats, bird, and dog stuff galore. How about exotics? There's websites I'd only use as a last resort as they freight ship most of them for a hefty fee (about 50% of cost) that makes it nearly worthless. Some sell acrylic knock-down tanks you reassemble at home, but I am not willing to that yet with the little time we have & it's not that cost effective. I've checked craigslist for used but it's huge aquarium setups that are too tall or not deep enough. I don't want over 18" high, he will not climb! The perfect size would be 48"L x 24" W x 17-18" T. If he was a chameleon I'd have a setup already in use for him, those are easier to find because you can go tall versus wide and sometimes you can do mesh sides. There's a website that's based in TN that will be in Monee, IL in mid-September but they're pricier than the store I'm waiting on and I can't see the product before purchasing. Their website could be more descriptive with more pictures too. Here's one the TN store offers, simulated granite, right size, sliding doors. They're annoying as they charge extra for screens (for top) and even then, they're on the high end. The price seems to go up exponentially from a 36 x 18 x 18 to a 48 x 24 x 18 especially from these websites. They also have a cheaper all glass sided model, but I like to see things before I buy them, when...
