Why do I find small dead snakes and lizards hanging from my tree branches?

On two different occasions, I have found either a small dead snake or a small lizard hanging from my lime and pear trees. They are not molted skin, but the entire reptile. My thought is a bird has put them there.

I don't know where you live but in the UK there is a bird called the Shrike, or The Butcher Bird, which stores its food on thorns or similar. Its prey includes small mammals, reptiles, frogs and insects.
The other alternative is they have been dropped by a bird. Or simply died there.

There are two main reasons people get lizard tattoos , the first is that the lizards are seen as a symbol of regeneration and may be used by a person who has escaped what was or would have been a very bad situation. The second is the plain fact that alligators are enthralling. They have a distinctive look that can be found nowhere else in either the natural or artificial world.
