Cheaper to buy cat food & litter at pet supplies store?
I usually buy my cats food and litter at the grocery store (meijer, walmart) while i'm buying groceries, but i was wondering if it might be cheaper to buy it at a chain pet supplies store like petsmart or petco... or maybe even a small locally owned pet shop? What would you suggest as the cheapest place to buy my cat's supplies?
I agree with people who say only top quality foods should be fed to pets. However, what some may not realize is that not all of us can afford this. Times are tough out there.
I buy my pet food at Walmart, but I try to go as high end as I can for my dog. My cats have always eaten and loved Purina Kit n Kaboodle, but if I was starting over, I'd get higher end Purina or Iams for them. I use Iams puppy for my dog and intend to transition over to their new "natural" adult dog food, which is very good per ingredients and quite cheap.
In terms of price, petsmart and petco are more pricy than grocery stores, and groceries are more pricy than Walmart.
