Snake Terrariums - Reptile Supplies

How to prepare wood for snake terrarium?

We recently purchased a corn snake, and we're moving him to a bigger terrarium this weekend.

The pet store told us we could get our own wood, and prepare it for his habitat in the terrarium.

My husband got a bunch of large branches / bark etc from our property (Ash and Oak I think... no sap)...
We were told we could bake them to kill all insects & prepare for the snakes habitat.

Is there anyone familiar with the process, and how we can do this?
Thanks very much!
Again, it's for a corn snake.. just a baby still.

Youd have to have a pretty big pot to boil tree branches but........
Just fill up the tub with water as hot as you can make it.
Let it soak for a few hours
Keep adding very hot water to it.
Then dry it off as best as you can before you put itin the tank.
