i want place a waterfall in a new terrarium that i want to start that would contain poisoned dart frogs, but i want to know if i water pump is enough for the the waterfall/stream or if i would need a filtration system for the dart frogs. And if so, what kind of filtration system would i need. I was planning on purchasing the zoo med waterfall kit. any ideas. thank you

I've been researching this for a few years now, the more I learn the less ready I feel to make the actual 'jump' to bringing in the frogs.

This can get to be a very complex project and it is very pricey - even if you go the DIY route.

There are a number of online how to slides, build logs and videos.

check out these sites for more info before you buy anything - it'll save you time and money in the long run.

It's a Jungle in There-in Riverwoods

The Attribute: It’s like a huge terrarium for humans, this 31-year-old conversant with tucked away in a densely wooded part of Riverwoods . Two-recital glass walls mark the boundary between indoors and out, though there is not much note between the two realms, with a gigantic rubber tree growing indoors and such out of doors denizens as deer and squirrels frequently wandering up to the windows.

That was the ambition when Joyce Marcus tapped the architect Dennis Stevens to father a house for her. The marketing company she owned was in a Des Plaines intermediation building designed by Stevens and his partner, Don Erickson , who were designers of take to-style hotels and other buildings. “That’s what I wanted—my own spa,” Marcus says.

Completed in 1980, the about Stevens designed for her has an enormous upswept roof capped by a emphatic skylight 40 feet above the floor. Pair that with the plate glass surround, and the main living space is an open, daylit room that does come across as a private resort. The main stair descends from the front door to a boulder-strewn necessary floor that combines living, dining, den, and kitchen nodes.

I’m setting up a new terrarium for my red eye tree frog the size is 18x18x18 inches and i wanted to add a waterfall. I was thinking about the zoo med naturalistic waterfall that you create your self where the water runs threw hydro balls and they recommend a layer of eco earth on top. But I’m worried about cleanliness, how would I clean the terrarium and how often. Right now I’m using paper towels because it was a baby and clean up was easy. I have all fake plants now should i get live plants (what kind). or do you recommend a different waterfall set up. Also how many red eyes can I put in my set up. Thanks
