Skiers Urged by Ski + Trek to Get Kitted Out for Australia and New Zealand ...

With the notable skiing conditions in the southern hemisphere showing no sign up for of fading, ski wear supplier Ski + Trek has encouraged people to take improvement of the cold snap by getting kitted out in essential ski clothing.

The ski period is currently in full flow in Australia and New Zealand, with resorts across the two countries welcoming a multitude of skiers intelligent to hit the slopes.

One example is Mount Hotham in Victoria, Australia, which saw 31cm of inexperienced snow fall at the end of July, with the base depth reaching 100cm. Without considering "unseasonably" warm weather in the subsequent couple of weeks, snow continues to be destroyed at the resort.

In addition, the big freeze has hit New Zealand. According to The Telegraph, 30cm of new snow recently landed at Coronet Visor, The Remarkables and Treble Cone. Some 50cm fell at Mount Hutt during the same age.

"The sun is out in the Queenstown and Wanaka areas and every seasoned skier and boarder significance their wax should be heading to the mountains" the paper added.

Riga Picture Dump.

And there was no one in town. I mean, it was empty! I very rarely get a combination of great weather and empty streets and what did I do with it? Nothing. Went to a cafe. But I took the long way around which brought me past Milda. Everyone looked right chilled so I picked up my pace feeling the need for a drop of Balsams and several cups of espresso. So later I walked down the street approaching the church Saint Gertrudes towards the Canadian Embassy and you can clearly see that the sun was already slipping away behind clouds. In fact it was to stay hidden for the whole of the following week which saw mostly snow, which I generally like but as a Western Canadian I'm used to a lot of sunshine which keeps the spirits up even when it is the kind of brutal low temperatures that kills the incautious. The church is out of frame to the left but if you want a lot of pictures of Riga, which is not really my thing on this blog, you can go And what did I find when I wandered past Valdemara 25 but this great building. I mean, If I had to live in the city I would want to live in this. I figure it's like a New York Brownstone walkup, sort of. I haven't a clue what the deal is but why they aren't selling something out of the ground floor is beyond me. Bagels/coffee, crack? Up at the top by that round window it says 1888!
