SSSTUPID: Man messes with wrong snake
A MAN messed with the erroneous snake this week.Ringo, a 2?-metre coastal carpet python, was resting in her fence on Thursday night when she was removed.
Wodonga police assert a man, 28, from Nambucca Heads, broke into Scales Aquarium and Reptile outlet in South Street about 9pm.
They say he grabbed Ringo and took her to a outfit in Charles Street, Wodonga.
There he tried to place Ringo under a scuttle.
But Ringo was in no mood to be treated that way.
The eight-year-old snake has been irritable for months, store co-owner Dave Castley says, preventing even him from handling her.
So Ringo certainly wasn’t in any inclination to be handled by a stranger on Thursday night.
She showed this by attacking the man.
She bit him twice on the forearm as he tried to order her under the bucket.
“She’s non-venomous so she can’t do much serious mutilate to a human,” Josh Kelley, co-owner of Scales Aquarium and Reptile outlet, said.
