Hi Aredman! From my point of view, I would go for the Marathon without hesitating. I own the SAR(contract jan 2007) auto since over a year and I'm very pleased with it. You got the 2824-2 eta inside and that movement don't fail you...Also the 120 clicks bezel is one of the best among all divers I have: Very well made, fermly setting in position(no slack) and very good grip. First I think that both of the watches you are looking at, are unique and very good IMHO. But If I had to chose between these specific ones, I would also go with the Marathon. I own a J-SAR (quartz) and a G-SAR (auto ETA 2824-2). These watches are built to very strict specifications for Canadian SAR and US Government personnel as well as for the NASA (the J-SAR is not mill.spec). What William (Hammerfjor) is saying about the lume, the bezel and the crown is 100% true. Marathon has one of the nicest bezel of the watch industry and the Maraglo (the lume sustance, which is a modded Superluminova application, if I'm not mistaken) is as bright as any of my Seiko's, including the Monsters (the BLUE lume is also very good on the Citizen by the way, but I would rate it just under the MaraGlo), and even at 41mm, it has a good presence on the wrist. The Ecozilla is really built like a tank at 48mm by 20mm or something like that but it's definitely not as versatile as the Marathon IMO, just because of it's 'Door Nob' design
. Also, one thing I really don't like about Citizen quartz watches, is that the second hand is ticking without precision around the dial and will rarely align with second marks while moving, if never and that is a big, big turn off for me. Marathon is using an ISA quartz, which they call high torque movement, that is a very cheap movement (about $9) but, on my J-SAR, it does align with markers almost all the time and I like that. For sure the Citizen ecodrive...
