I heard that only one cage is too small. I have two roborovski hamsters. I am planning on buying either two or three cages. how many should I get? btw I know for sure I am buying the maze and the suite. I need to know if an extra pad is necessary.
i only just bought the ovo suite! For two or three it will be fine, but if you are going to put the big maze into the pad then i would consider buying a loft or an extra carrycase or den. But it will be so perfect for dwarf hamster. And the new ones have great ventilation, all the windows and seals have vent holes...my hamster loves his :)

I bought this cage because I'm getting a few mice and figured they would need a little extra room to run around. I thought about Critertrail and opted not to because I didn't have much floor space to work with; igloos, and toys, etc. I saw the review for this and it said it was very roomy, which is true, however, sometimes roomy may mean ENORMOUS! Now being a big cage is a good thing, however, if you live at college like I do, and space is limited, this could create a problem. Dont get me wrong, mice love extra room, but I dont! The pictures are misleading and I thought this cage was a lot smaller in real life then it actually is. AND the cage isnt oblong like the item pic shows. The lenghth is roughly 2.5 feet, possibly minus a few inches. The height is about a foot, as it the width. Deff. the biggest cage ive seen anywhere! It comes with a wheel, water bottle, lock connector, and a window.
