Although its cute and pretty, they are not very user friendly at all. They are extremely difficult to clean and break very easily. You would be better off buying a different type of cage...wire, glass tank, or make a bin cage. They are a whole lot better than these cheap plastic cages.

Not just any hamster cage. It's a S.A.M. unit, and the box (which I have since thrown away) bore the legend "For thy mice and thy dwarf hamsters," and showed a blonde-haired princess dressed in pink, riding a white horse, and carrying an equally blonde-coiffed hamster. It's advertised as a "princess castle", and it's PINK (you can also get "knight castles" in blue). The petting station is called a "courtyard"; the split-level design features a "cellar". It even comes with a purple "hamster brush" with a cartoon hamster on the back, brushing its long luxurious hair. Yes, it's horribly sexist and cements gender stereotypes, and I'm not too fond of the marketing hamsters as children's pets, but STILL. It's totally bringing out my inner eight-year-old.
